Cultural Program TFDC Outside Space
Jul 05, 2023 10:00 - 19:00(Europe/London)
20230705T1000 20230705T1900 Europe/London Curious Monkey Caravan!

Be a curious monkey and visit the caravan (up to 4 people at a time) for tea and cake and a story! There will be prompts on the table for people to use to share a story of their own if they wish. We will be sharing stories around memories. As the stories are told an illustrator will live illustrate the story as it unravels and this will be gifted to the person to take away.

There is the option for the stories shared to go into the caravan collection where they will be titled and cared for (to be shared / re-told later to other visitors to the caravan), or it can go into the secret box if people wish. This is the choice of the story teller.

Limited numbers. There will be boards outside the Curious Caravan for delegates to sign up for 15-minute time slots on the day.

Curious Monkey is the North East's first theatre company of Sanctuary. Their work shares stories of underrepresented communities, raising awareness of the issues they face. Their projects promote inclusion & celebrate diversity. Curious Monkey's Curious Caravan is a portable space for stories to be shared. The team of story collectors visit communities to tell stories that they've heard and gather new stories from the people they meet. The story collectors want to fill the caravan full to the brim with tales of everything from the everyday to the extraordinary!
